"The Jakarta Government provides full support for the hosting of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026," said Pramono.
The Jakarta Provincial Government offers several sports facilities that can be used as training grounds, including the Soemantri Brodjonegoro Student Center (GMSB) and Lapangan Banteng.
"If improvements are indeed necessary, we will work together with PSSI to refine them," added Pramono.
Pramono continued that the Jakarta Provincial Government had previously offered the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) to PSSI. However, the stadium had already been scheduled to host a concert.
In addition to providing facilities, the Jakarta Provincial Government will also promote the FIFA ASEAN Cup through government-owned open spaces to ensure the tournament is a success.
Meanwhile, PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir appreciates the full support of the Jakarta Provincial Government for the hosting of the FIFA ASEAN Cup in Jakarta.
Erick, who also serves as the Minister of Youth and Sports, stated that the FIFA ASEAN Cup is an official FIFA tournament, not merely a PSSI agenda.
"Thank you, Mr. Governor. Football is part of the effort to encourage our people to unite and demonstrate our national character," he stated.
Erick emphasized that FIFA is committed to optimally managing the organization of the FIFA ASEAN Cup to ensure the tournament's success. He also called for support from football fans so that the Indonesian national team could achieve the best possible results.
"We are still awaiting an announcement from FIFA regarding the match schedule and which teams will be playing in Jakarta or other regions," he admitted.
